Storage firm gets newsy
Recipes for hot wings with blue-cheese yogurt and for fish, Haitian-style: That's the mouth-watering start of an e-newsletter from US 41 Self Storage in North Fort Myers. The newsletter also:
- Describes products and services at the nine-acre, indoor/outdoor storage complex and U-Haul center.
- Includes a discount coupon; and
- Promotes twice-monthly flea markets, at which members of the public can rent tables for $5 each.
Oh, and did I mention the "define the word of the month" contest? There's a small storage discount to the first three callers with the correct answer. According to manager Monique Jones, the newsletter launched in January after the lobby filled up with donations from employees, customers and others for Haitian earthquake victims. "We try to give back to the community, and let the community know what we're doing," Jones says. Jones thinks the newsletter helps personalize and draw positive attention to her company.
